Flag Stop: Village Gazebo to Florence Petersen Park!
It’s the 15th annual Flag Stop Festival!
It starts at Town Plaza in Whistler Village on Wednesday, August 5 with a Squamish Lil’wat welcome ceremony followed by East Vancouver’s sweet dance party orchestra playing under the gazebo before leading the parade to Florence Petersen Park to complete their set. DJ Vinyl Ritchie keeps the groove going until Lil’wat band The Spiritual Warriors fill the park with their contemporary roots rock reggae inspired by the land and life in the Coast Mountains.
Flag Stop Cabaret Night
It’s the 15th annual Flag Stop Festival!
Thursday is all new to the festival with Cabaret Night at The Point featuring musical hosts Whistler Cowboy Jazz, poet Laura Sharp, theatre, comedy and more!
The bar will be open. Admission on a “pay what you can” basis :)

Following th premiere of Jackie and Jack, bands take the stage inside the lodge for a night of celebration and dancing. Friday night sees the return of Balkan Shmalkan with their first performance inside The Point, and Saturday features the lively Western Swing and Rockabilly of The Rocket Revellers.

Improv & Acting Camp with Ira Pettle (ages 10-12/13)
Join Whistler kids entertainer and performance coach Ira Pettle for a week of Improv Acting at The Point. In addition to the fun, participants will build confidence, enhance communication and listening skills and exercise creativity!
August 10 - August 14, 2026, 9am-3pm (ages 10-12/13) $350 Early bird to May 6. $400 after
Music Production Camp with Papa Josh (ages 12-16)
Learn to create, compose snd record music from beats to bed tracks to instrumentation and vocals, working with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), recording equipment and editing software. Papa Josh will walk you through the process and leave you with a new musical project!
Lakeside Concerts at The Point: Trio Elysium
Join us for another summer of awesome Sunday afternoon lakeside concerts at The Point with TRIO ELYSIUM – SONGS FOR A SUMMER EVENING (7PM indoors). Alison Hunter (harp), Anne-Elise Keefer (flute), Jeanette Bruce (voice)

Landscape Painting with Cass Dickinson August (ages 9-14)
This 3-day camp will focus on fostering creativity, experimentation, and hands-on learning in a supportive environment. We will go through fun painting exercises to learn about colour mixing, blending, and creating gradients. Ultimately, children will be taught the same artistic process I, and many other artists, utilize to create a painting. If your children have an interest in art, this is the camp for them!

Digital Sound & Field Recording Workshop
Do you ever find yourself stopping to listen to the birds nearby? or noticing the musical clinking when you put the dishes away? or wish you had a way to capture the calming sound of raindrops on the lake? This workshop will introduce you to the wonderful world of field recording – finding sound in the wild – and will get you started making your own sonic experiments with the free audio editing software Audacity. For twelve and up. This workshop is designed for beginners!

Come join the Point’s current Artist In Residence, Julia Tausch as she hosts Read What You Want!
On Sunday, May 24th at 2pm, Julia will be hosting an informal open-mic style reading where she will share an excerpt from her novel in progress inviting Sea to Sky writers to share what they are working on as well.

Artist in Residence Exhibit & Talk: Lacey Jane Wilburn
Join us at The Point Artist-Run centre to spotlight out Artist In Residence, Lacey Jane Wilburn. On Saturday, May 9th from 12pm - 4pm, Lacey will be exhibiting her newest paintings from her recent residencies at The Point's Artist Cabin and time in Australia. At 2pm, she will host a talk discussing her time in the residencies and her upcoming painting workshop.
There will be a prize giveaway of an original painting by Lacey!
The Creative Café will be fully open for food and drinks.

C. R. Avery’s East Van Abbey Cabaret
C.R. Avery brings his long-running East Van Abbey Cabaret back to Whistler with a whole new show. Featuring his house band, the Storm Collective, along with a host of talented artists delivering everything from rock ‘n’ roll and boogie blues to spoken word, performance art, comedy and dance. It’s an eclectic, high energy night in a cabaret setting at The Point. The East Van Abbey Cabaret has been drawing monthly Vancouver audiences for years, and C. R. Avery is now taking it on the road to share with audiences across the province.

The Point is thrilled to announce the return of Juno and Polaris Prize nominee Danny Michel. Danny last graced the Point stage in February 2022, and he’s included Whistler as a stopover on his Spring 2026 Canadian tour. Early ticket purchase is advised to not miss out on this cherished Canadian musician and songwriter.
Wet Felting with Cléa Thomas
Learn the basics of wet felting and make a flat felted piece of artwork that can be framed. Cléa Thomas, originally from France and based in Pemberton, BC, fell in love with wool a few years ago. She enjoys experimenting and creating fun, unique pieces, and her workshops are accessible to all skill levels.
