About ZADA
Born in Ethiopia and based in Whistler, BC, ZADA is a genre-defying artist whose music lives in the space between contrasts beauty and grit, intimacy and scale, soul and experimentation. Blending alternative R&B with electronic textures, jazz, folk, and global rhythms, her sound is cinematic yet grounded, guided by a voice that is both warm and commanding.
Since launching her debut single "Nomad" in 2022 and releasing her debut album Water In The Desert in 2024, ZADA has brought her unique sound to major stages including SXSW, Mondo NYC, Honey Jam, Black Girls Rock x BET at the Kennedy Center, and JUNOFest 2025. She has also earned early acclaim from Billboard, CBC's The Block, BBC Radio 1, WKDU, Amazing Radio (UK), and Spotify playlists like EQUAL Afro and Sizzlers.
As a new chapter unfolds, ZADA continues to push sonic boundaries with her latest singles "Access Denied" and "Breath Away," which channels nostalgia and catharsis through indie pop textures and digital beats, expanding her signature fusion of raw lyricism and experimental production. Rooted in community and driven by purpose, ZADA's artistry is intentional, expansive, and deeply human. With her feet on the ground and a vision that spans continents, she continues to carve out space for stories that resonate across generations, cultures, and soundwaves.

King Cruff
Canadian-Jamaican artist King Cruff (Solomon Marley-Spence) was born with the talents of songwriting and performance in his blood. An introspective storyteller, he sees his songs as think pieces that embody the poetic lyricism, vibrant rhythms, and innovative soundscapes that define his artistry. Drawing on his audio engineering background, the versatile King Cruff fuses genres across the diaspora including hip-hop, Afrobeats, dancehall, and reggae.
Teon Gibbs
Teon Gibbs has journeyed from his formative years in Botswana and South London to his current base in Vancouver - and it’s this diverse background, with a rich exposure to a myriad of cultures, that has greatly influenced his musical style. Blending elements of R&B, Soul, and Hip-Hop to create a sound that resonates deeply with global audiences, Gibbs has gained a reputation for consistently delivering smooth vocals and relatable lyrics.
“I might do it for the culture” has become a statement piece in Gibbs’s career. He is a leader in BC’s musical community as the founder of 100 Collective, a multi-faceted platform showcasing underrepresented Western Canadian artists via label services, showcasing, and the Do It For The Culture Conference and Festival.
