Gear up to kick off The Point’s 14th annual Flag Stop Theatre & Arts Festival by putting the wheels in motion for the Flag Stop Preview: Pop-Up Performance Bike Ride on Sunday, July 27 at 4:00 PM!

This journey starts at Florence Petersen Park, where Alert Bay musician Gary Wayne Peterson will set the pre-ride vibe with a lively mix of folk, blues, funk and reggae. At 5pm, riders will be guided along sections of the Valley Trail, circling the north end of Alta lake and stopping at unexpected locations for pop-up performances that are sure to keep everyone’s spokes spinning.

At Balsam Park, riders will encounter ALGN Whistler Dance for a lively performance — with dance instruction included to get everyone moving! Next up, monologues performed by Between Shifts Theatre’s talented Kathryn Daniels and Carla Fuhre in front of the heritage log cabins at Rainbow Park.

The final stop is at the lakeside lodge of The Point Artist-Run Centre, where local upcoming musician Jaxon Mishaw will open for the Papa Josh Trio, who will shift the evening into high gear with a set of funk, pop and rock tunes. The Point Café will be open, serving light meal items and drinks so riders can refuel!
