BLUEGRASS JAM with Host Band
JAM! BLUEGRASS! Whether you’ve come before or this is your first time, you’re welcome. Beginner friendly. Don’t play but want to listen? Also fantastic.
9th Annual Winter Carnival at The Point
From 12-4PM, enjoy all-ages activities including snow sculpting and ice dancing competitions, DJ Ira Dance Party (1PM), curling and shinny (ice permitting), costumed characters, live campfire music from Greg Kelly and Thomas Studer, tickle trunk with winter costumes (or bring your own), and scrumptious lunch and hot and cold drinks available from the Cypress Point Café and Harrop’s Bar. What a great way to spend BC Family Day!
9th Annual Winter Carnival at The Point
Featuring East Vancouver’s C.R. Avery & the Storm Collective, local accordion maestro Thomas Studer, followed by the annual Winter Art Auction. A hearty winter feast will be served up by one of the Point’s guest chefs, and Harrop’s Bar will be open for libations.
All Original Orphans' Winter Feast
Formerly held on Thanksgiving, the All Original Orphan’s Winter Feast features a traditional turkey (or veggie) dinner with all the fixings and two smoking original music acts.
Jazz Jam with Host Band
The Point’s Jazz Jam is hosted by four local musicians, Brett Florio on guitar, Rajan Das on upright bass, Bob Miller on saxophone and Jim Brown on drums. Various levels of musicians are welcome to sit in, share their knowledge and learn from others.

Winter Carnival at The Point

Please join us for the return of Winter Carnival at The Point, a community celebration featuring live music, dinner and dancing, and a host of free afternoon activities celebrating winter through the lens of the arts.
Sunday afternoon will be filled with all ages activities including snow and ice dancing, costumed characters, a children’s dance party and concert with Ira Pettle (1pm), snow sculpting competition, curling and shinny (ice permitting), a fireside singalong, café with lunch and hot and cold drinks and more!

This year’s evening dinner show presents East Vancouver’s Kitty & the Rooster, a rock n’ roll duo featuring Jodie Ponto on the stand-up cocktail drumkit and Noah Walker on electric guitar. They are known for their surf-tastic hooks, clever lyrics, and ridiculously fun shows. The evening opens with a dinner set by local eclectic duo Jen Bisset and Thomas Studer on guitar, vocals and accordion. A hearty winter feast will be served up by one of the Point’s guest chefs, and Harrop’s Bar will be open all day and evening for libations. And don’t miss the live art auction at 7:30PM of works created during the day by Lisa Geddes, Megan Burke, Anna Lynch and Nafisa.

Along with traditional bluegrass, the Rangers incorporate influences from Western/Texas swing to Latin jazz and grunge grass. Whistler and Pemberton's best looking band by their own estimation! The Courageous Mountain Rangers are a favourite under the lakeside tent at The Point.
