In supportof summer programming at The Point (former hostel) on Alta Lake.
The Point Artist-Run Centre Society was formed by a diverse group of Whistler artists in the summer of 2009. They are committed to creating an artist-run centre in Whistler, a home base and hub where artists can work, exhibit, perform, improve their craft and interact with the general public.
The Point Artist-Run Centre Society was incorporated as a non-profit society in March 2010, and is working toward establishing an arts centre at the former Whistler Hostel site, previously known as Cypress Lodge on the shore of Alta Lake.
In the summer of 2011, The Point is offering its first series of trial events at the historic Cypress Lodge. Saturdays at The Point will include an artist and artisan market, art exhibit, live music, a Book Shop Cafe, and a series of artist workshops throughout the summer.
For more information and to register for workshops, please go to Artist Workshops.
Saturdays at The Point are part of a Resort Municipality of Whistler pilot project at the former Whistler Hostel site, now an RMOW park.
