Artist Created

The Point Artist-Run Centre (PARC) was formed by a diverse group of Whistler artists in the summer of 2009. They committed themselves to developing a collective home base and hub where local and visiting artists could work, exhibit, perform, improve their craft and interact with the general public.

The Point Artist-Run Centre was incorporated as a non-profit society in March 2010, establishing an arts centre at the former Whistler Hostel site, previously known as Cypress Lodge on the shore of Alta Lake.

What We Do

PARC programs a variety of special events during the winter months and ramps up to full-time programming for the summer. Our events include theatre, music and art festivals, dinner shows and other evening events showcasing local and visiting artists, an annual summer Sunday Concert Series, art workshops, writer retreats, children's theatre, music and art camps, and acting classes and mentorships. PARC also rents Artist Day Studios and offers Artist-in-Residence programs.
