This year, the Flag Stop Festival is hitting the road with two shows on the Sunshine Coast, at the Heritage Playhouse Theatre in Gibsons on Friday, August 16, and at Lang Bay Hall on Saturday, August 17.
The travelling festival features About The Moose, a new stage play written by Stephen Vogler and directed by Angie Nolan, presented alongside monologues written by North Vancouver playwright John McGie, with an opening set of live music by Stephen Vogler.

The 8th annual Flag Stop Theatre & Arts Festival features three days of live original theatre on the floating stage, standup and improv comedy, acoustic music outside, dinner and dancing to live bands in the heritage lodge. Featured acts include the premiere of stage play About The Moose, comedian Dino Richie, Vancouver Theatre Sports, Coal Davie & the Rockabillionaires, Gruff Goat Dance Troupe, Marble Canyon and more!
Advance tickets are $20 +GST, $25 at the door (Also available at Laedeli Gifts in Gibsons, and Lang Bay General Store)

Premiere of About the Moose Written and Produced by Stephen Vogler, Directed by Angie Nolan. About The Moose is a hilarious romp through the swamp, a witty satire on bureaucracy and wildlife management that is both moving and drop dead funny. The play has been developed as part the annual Flagstop Theatre Mentorship program.
The evening opens with a dance performance by Trish Belsham's Gruff Goat Dance Troupe, and wraps up with high energy Vancouver rockabilly band Coal Davie & the Rockabillionaires inside the lodge!
